He assumed that New Year’s Eve moment could be used by people to distribute drugs. Moreover, Jakarta has around 1,300 entertainment venues which are vulnerable to drug trafficking.

"Drug trafficking is very vulnerable when we focus on security,” he said while giving direction in coordination meeting about security on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Regional Intelligence Community (Kominda), Monday (12/21).

To anticipate it, his party has coordinated with National Narcotics Agency (BNN) along with entertainment venue owners in Jakarta. Considering the venue will be closed down if the case happens twice.

“I want Christmas and New Year to be sterile from drug trafficking. If it is needed, the army/police and Satpol PP will be dispatched in several entertainment venues,” he asserted.

Djarot also added, the management of entertainment venue's role is important to take a role to prevent drug trafficking potential in their place.
